A Little Morning Static

A friend of mine routinely gets up at 6 a.m. every morning to take his dog for a walk around the block. One chilly morning he got up, grabbed a pair of jogging pants from the laundry room, got dressed and put on a warm jacket. He quickly leashed his dog and left the house. His usual route takes him down the street, across a field, past the neighborhood pub and over the road to the Gas Station, which is kitty corner from his house.

While he walked the dog that day, his wife got up and made coffee, then peeked out the window awaiting his return. As she watched him walk the short distance from the Station to their home, she noticed something unusual. Firmly attached to the back of his jogging pants was one leg and trunk of a freshly laundered pair of her pantyhose. The other leg of the pantyhose tried to keep up while catching on various jagged spots and random rocks along the roadway behind him.

In hindsight, he realized the few neighbors he saw that morning displayed quizzical looks followed by smirks as they returned his morning greeting. Apparently he wasn’t too fazed…he likes being the center of attention! After all, he put a day-long smile on people’s faces that morning!

What better way to start the day than to spread a little happiness?
